Holland, Mich. - Grand Valley State picked up a convincing 9-0 shutout win over Hope College on March 12. In the win, only one match went to three sets. Jenna Killips was the winner in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to help GVSU to the win. Their next match will be against Kalamazoo in Kalamazoo, Mich. at the Marklin Tennis Center at 3 p.m. on March 14.

Killips won 6-3, 6-1 in No. 1 singles, followed by a victory by Audrey Koopsen in the No. 2 spot by the same score. Chelsea Johnston won at No. 3 singles, going three sets in the win. The final marks were 6-4, 3-6, 10-6. Katelyn Grashorn's 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles was followed by a 6-1, 6-1 victory by Jaime Oppenlander at No. 5 singles. Finally, Darylann Trout closed out the singles competition with a 7-5, 6-1 win.

GVSU also swept the doubles competition. Killips teamed up with Emily Zellner to win 9-8 (5) in the top spot. That was the closest match of the day, as Koopsen and Grashorn took the No. 2 spot with an 8-4 win and Johnston and Trout won at No. 3 doubles, 8-3.
