Holland, Mich. - Grand Valley State University earned its ninth win of the season, posting a 6-3 score against Hope College. Brock Plangger and Matt Globerson won at both singles and doubles, helping the Lakers to the win. Grand Valley's next match is against Aquinas College at the Orchard Hills Racket Club on March 14.

GVSU picked up four points in singles play. In the No. 2 spot, Patrick Troy claimed a three-set victory over his opponent 6-7 (6), 6-4, 10-5. Philipp Claus rebounded from his first loss of the season to win at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-1. Plangger and Globerson won in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots, respectively. Plangger took a 6-2, 6-4 win, while Globerson won 6-1, 6-2.

In doubles play, GVSU added another two points to its winning total. Alex Switzer teamed up with Globerson for an 8-3 win in the No. 2 doubles spot. In the No. 3 match, Plangger and Claus combined for an 8-6 win.
