Allendale, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's golf team will compete in the NCAA DII Great Lakes Super Regional May 5-7 at Red Hawk Run Golf Club in Findlay, Ohio. The top team from each region within the super regional will advance to the finals May 14-17 at the Division II Spring National Championships Frestival in Houston, Texas. The finals will be hosted by Rice University. Ten additional teams will earn berths to the finals based on the previous three-year average of top-10 finishes of a super regional at the finals. The Great Lakes/Central Super Regional will get one additional berth. Grand Valley State earned the top seed in the Great Lakes Super Regional based on its finishes (second, third and first) in three regional tournaments during the fall and spring. The Lakers last advanced to the finals in 2000.
