Noblesville, Ind. - Grand Valley State took home top honors as a team with a 36-hole total of 578 (+2), while Josh Orler won medalist honors with a 141 (-3) by defeating Wayne State's Joe Juszczyk in a two-hole playoff. The Lakers were 12 shots clear of second place Wayne State (590) and 14 shots ahead of Indianapolis' 36-hole total of 592 (+16). The Great Lakes Regional #3 was played at The Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Ind. GVSU will now be the top seed in the NCAA DII Great Lakes Super Regional that will be held May 5-7 at Red Hawk Run Golf Course in Findlay, Ohio.

Orler led the way for the Lakers with a final 18 score of 74 (+2) and a 36-hole total of 141 (-3). Tyler Hering tied for fourth with a 143 (-1), while Josh Burt tied for 8th with a 36-hole total of 148. Mike Basinski shot a 150 and tied for 24th. Matt Johnson shot the low round of the day for the Lakers with an even par 72 and finished tied for 43rd with a 153.
