Greeneville, Tenn. - Grand Valley State finished tied for second in the 2008 Tusculum Invitational on Sunday, placing two golfers on the All-Tournament Team. Josh Burt and Tyler Hering both shot a one-under par 70, which tied them for fourth place, to earn the all-tournament honors at the rain-abbreviated event. The Lakers will be back in action this weekend, March 15 and 16, at the Northern Kentucky Invitational in Butler, Ky.
As a team, Grand valley shot 291, which was three strokes behind first place Shorter College. After Burt and Hering, the next Laker in the standings was Matthew Malloure, who finished tied for 27th with a four-over 75. Josh Orler was one stroke behind him, finishing with a 76, and came in 40th place. Mike Basinski was the final Laker in the standings, placing 66th with an eight-over 79.
