Salisbury, N.C. - Grand Valley State University shot six strokes better in the second round of the Richard Rendelman Invitational to finish in eighth place. Josh Burt finished with a +5 147 to put him in a tie for 23rd place as the top-ranked Laker. As a team, GVSU shot 293 on the second day, ahead of their 299 from day one, finishing at 592 overall.

Matthew Malloure and Mike Basinski both finished at a +6 148, tied for 31st place. Josh Orler shot a team-best +1 72 on day two, leading him to a tie for 35th place at the end of the invitational. Tyler Hering was the final Laker in the standings, coming in at a tie for 72nd place with a 157 over both rounds.
