K'Len Morris Transfers To Grand Valley State From Michigan

Grand Valley State head men's basketball coach Ric Wesley announced the signing of K'Len Morris to a National Letter of Intent. Morris, who most recently was at the University of Michigan, will be eligible to play for Grand Valley State during the 2008-09 season.

Grand Valley State senior center Callistus Eziukwu pulled in another all-american award when he was named D2 Bulletin First Team All-American. GVSU senior guard Jason Jamerson was named an D2 Bulletin Honorable Mention All-American. Eziukwu and Jamerson led Grand Valley State to best single-season record (36-1) in school history. The Lakers claimed the GLIAC Tournament title, the NCAA DII Great Lakes Regional crown and advanced to its second straight NCAA DII Elite Eight. The Lakers' 36 wins are the second most in a single-season in DII history.

Grand Valley State dropped a 67-54 decision to Winona State in NCAA Division II Elite Eight action Wednesday (March 26) night in Springfield, Mass. Winona State advances to the Thursday night's semifinals, while the Lakers conclude their season with a 36-1 mark. The Lakers' 36 wins is a single-season school record and is tied for the most wins in a single-season in NCAA DII history.
