Allendale, Mich. - The Grand Valley State baseball team was awarded the top seed in the NCAA DII North Central Regional tournament slated for May 15-19 at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood, Illinois. Grand Valley State will face #6 Northern Kentucky in a first-round matchup on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. (ET). #2 St. Joseph's will play #5 Wayne State at 8:00 p.m. (ET), while #3 Bellarmine will square off versus #4 Ashland at 2:30 p.m. (ET).

GVSU is making its seventh straight appearance in the NCAA North Central Regional and is one of three teams in all of NCAA DII to appear in every NCAA Tournament since 2002 (Tampa/Central Missouri State). Grand Valley State is coming off its sixth straight GLIAC Championship and its fourth consecutive GLIAC Tournament title. GVSU claimed a 13-6 win over Findlay in the title game.
