Prior to GVSU:
Attended Kellogg Community College and played under head coach Russ Bortell...Posted a 7-1 record with a 2.50 ERA as a freshman...Led the nation in strikeouts per inning with 1.62 per frame...Followed up freshman campaign by going 4-2 with a 2.17 ERA as a sophomore.

High School:
Prepped at Jackson Lumen Christ High School and played for head coach Frank Slabby...First Team All-Capital Area Activities Association selection...Named first team all-region and all-district...Was honored as the JTV Scholar Athlete of the Week...Jackson Citizen Patriot All-Tournament Team member...Also participated in football and basketball.
