Prior to GVSU:
Attended Kishwaukee Community College and played under former Lakers Josh Pethoud and Russell Williams...Posted a 5-2 record with a 2.08 ERA and led the team in wins and innings pitched as a sophomore.

Prepped at Kaneland High School under head coach Brian Rea...Earned All-Suburban Prairie North honors...Team MVP and captain...Also honored as most improved and defensive MVP...Team qualified for state tournament as a senior...Also participated in basketball.
