Prepped at Durand High School under head coach Rob Milton...Three-time All-Genesee Area Conference honoree...Earned all-district honors...Posted a 9-3 record as a junior with 97 strikeouts and a 2.49 ERA...As a senior, went 9-2 with 128 strikeouts and a 1.70 ERA...Team claimed back-to-back district championships...Also participated in football and basketball...Has played baseball in New Zealand and Australia...Has thrown four no-hitters in his career with one perfect game and a 20 strikeout game...Holds the single season and career strikeout records.
